To be a leading, resilient, and inclusive grassroots organization that effectively shields the most vulnerable from hardship and ensures a climate-smart, sustainable, and gender-equitable environment for all community members in Rukiga District.
Our Mission
To empower all community members, particularly the vulnerable, through targeted aid, strategic resource mobilization, and determined advocacy, while implementing community-led projects that champion social equity, environmental health, and localized climate resilience.
Our Core Objectives
Five pillars guiding our community impact
Orphan Care, Education & Shelter
Providing safe shelter and quality education for orphans and vulnerable children, with focus on those below 12 years, and advocating for family-based reintegration where appropriate.
Environmental Stewardship & Climate Action
Coordinating tree planting drives, pollution clean-ups, and awareness campaigns to promote local species and protect water catchment areas.
Sustainable Livelihoods & Value Addition
Initiating vocational training, value addition for agricultural produce, and Village Savings and Loan Associations for financial inclusion.
Inclusivity & Service Accessibility
Implementing targeted outreach to make services accessible to the elderly, persons with disabilities, and homebound vulnerable individuals.
Gender Equality & Equity
Promoting equal participation of women and men in all activities and decision-making, actively advocating for the rights of all marginalized groups.

Co-Founders, Pathfinders Foundation
We founded Pathfinders Foundation with a simple yet powerful belief: that every member of our community deserves dignity, opportunity, and hope for a better future.
Growing up in Rukiga District, we witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by orphans, vulnerable children, and marginalized community members. We saw the devastating effects of climate change on our environment and livelihoods. These experiences ignited our passion to create lasting change.
Today, Pathfinders Foundation stands as a testament to what grassroots action can achieve. Through the dedication of our team, the generosity of our donors, and the resilience of our community, we are building a future where no one is left behind.

Our Journey
Key milestones in our mission to empower communities
Foundation Established
Pathfinders Foundation officially registered as a Community-Based Organization, with constitution ratified and governance structure established.
First Programs Launched
Initiated orphan care programs, first tree planting campaign, and established initial Village Savings groups in partnership with local communities.
Expanding Impact
Continuously growing our reach, strengthening partnerships, and deepening our impact across all five core objective areas in Rukiga District and beyond.
